Renowned for its talks by distinguished voices from around the globe, framed by the heritage and dynamism of one of the world’s greatest universities, the Oxford Literary Festival continues its commitment to Free Speech and the exploration of ideas. The 2026 Programme, running from 21st to the 29th of March, promises a vibrant celebration of ideas, knowledge and debate. Festival Director, Sally Dunsmore, has curated a line-up of more than 400 speakers, from many countries, over 9 days– an inspiring platform for leading thinkers, writers, artists, and public figures – exploring the most pressing issues of our time; and the lessons from human endeavour over the millennia – in an atmosphere that values the traditions of both evidence and excellence.
