Dvořák Eight and The Water Goblin with the Oxford Millennium Orchestra

Join us for our Trinity Term 2023 concert, featuring Dvořák 'The Water Goblin' and Dvořák Symphony No. 8.

The Water Goblin (Vodnik) is a symphonic poem, based on the folk tale by Czech poet Karel Erben, the story is exciting if a bit gruesome! We will be talking through the story and showing how it is represented within the music before playing the piece. Paired with Dvořák’s wonderfully atmospheric Eighth Symphony, it should be a great concert!

The Oxford Millennium Orchestra (OMO) is the principal University-wide non-auditioning Symphony Orchestra. Currently conducted by Adrian Adlam, professional conductor and previous concertmaster with the LSO. Our members are both students and non-students living in the Oxford area.
