OUWO @ 50: Myths and Legends

Across the last half century, OUWO has gone from strength to strength, resulting in the 40-strong ensemble of 2023 widely recognised as the city’s premier wind orchestra. Musicians hail from across the university and include some of its finest wind players – tonight, they are led by conductor Alice Knight and assistant conductor Theo Andre-Watson through an evening of music spanning a wide variety of genres, demonstrating the sheer breadth of capabilities in the wind, brass, and percussion sections.

Free Opportunity for Children: Meet the members of OUWO in a ‘meet and greet’, where you can find out more about playing wind, brass, and percussion instruments – there will be a chance to play some percussion too!

As the concert is until 9pm, we understand that those with children may not be able to stay for the duration of the concert. The interval is at 8pm so you would be more than welcome to leave the concert early.
